What an address you give EZHomesteading is used for, and who can see it — specifically, the difference between your search area and an address you give for a delivery order.

Your search area

Your search area is the home address or region you set to find nearby sellers — see Set up your search area. It only ranks and filters the market for you: which stores show up, and how close they're shown to be. A seller never sees this address, and it's never shared to identify where you live. A seller can't look up how many buyers are near them by address either — the most a seller can see is a count of buyers whose search area reaches their store, with no names or locations attached.

Your saved addresses

Addresses saved to your address book (see Your addresses) work the same way by default: they're yours, used to set your search area or to start a pickup route, and aren't shared with anyone until you use one for something that requires it.

Delivery orders are different

Placing a delivery order requires an actual place to deliver to. The address you choose at checkout for a delivery order is stored with that order, separately from your search area, and is available to the seller fulfilling that specific order — it's necessary for them to complete the delivery. It isn't shared with any other seller, and it isn't added to your search area or used to rank anything.

A pickup order works the other way around: you go to the seller's own location, which is already public, so no address of yours is attached to a pickup order at all.
