Prohibited items

What this covers

Some goods can't be listed on EZHomesteading at all, regardless of how they're described or labeled. This is separate from Listing accuracy, which covers how a permitted listing has to be described.

Prohibited categories

• Home-canned low-acid goods — home-canned vegetables, meats, and other low-acid foods carry a real botulism risk without commercial processing controls. Home-canned high-acid goods like jams and pickles aren't affected by this rule.
• Alcohol, firearms, and other regulated goods — anything that requires a license or permit the platform doesn't administer, including alcohol and firearms.

Why these are banned outright

These aren't accuracy or quality issues a listing's description can fix — the risk (or the licensing requirement) exists independent of how well the item is represented, so they're excluded rather than flagged for review.

Reporting a listing

If you see a listing that looks like it belongs to one of these categories, report it from the listing page. Reported listings are reviewed and removed if they violate this policy.

Enforcement

A prohibited listing is taken down on discovery. Repeated attempts to list prohibited goods are treated as a community guidelines violation and can affect a seller's ability to publish.

This policy may be updated as the marketplace changes. The date at the top is when it was last revised.
