Marking an order ready
"Mark ready" is the step between a scheduled pickup order and the buyer coming to get it. It's pickup-only — a delivery order never shows this step, because the buyer confirms receipt instead of you confirming it's packed.
Prerequisites
The order needs an agreed time first. See accepting and scheduling an order.
- 1Pack the order, then open it. Once it's Scheduled, the action bar shows a Mark order ready button.
- 2Tap it. A sheet titled "Get the order ready" opens, showing the time it's set for.
- 3Tap Mark ready for pickup — this charges the buyer. That's the whole action — the order's status becomes Ready for pickup immediately, with nothing else to confirm.
What to expect
Tapping the button captures the buyer's card right then — for a pickup order, that's the moment payment is taken, not when the order was first accepted.
If you've written instructions under "When you mark it ready" in your store's handoff settings — lockbox codes, which cooler, the name on the bag — they're sent automatically in the order chat the instant you tap the button.
Your Today board's Needs you card also surfaces orders ready to be marked, once you're within 24 hours of the scheduled time, with its own Mark ready button.
