How selling works for growers, co-ops and market stalls
Before your first listing, the app shows a short story of how people sell here, then asks "Which sounds like you?". You can watch the story again at any time: watch how selling works.
Who sells here
A grower has more than they can use and drops the surplus off at a co-op on a drive they already make. They meet no customers. A co-op buys it at their stand and sells it as their own, by the pound. A neighbor picks some up a few minutes from home. Other sellers start at a market stall with one table, and add a stand at home later.
What your answer changes
Your answer only sets where you start. It never fixes a role, and you can change any of it later in your store's settings.
- "I grow more than I can use": your listings start as Grower surplus, for co-ops only.
- "I sell from home": "How do buyers get it?" starts with Your stand ticked, and Source from growers starts on once Your stand exists.
- "I sell at a farmers market": "How do buyers get it?" starts with Your market stall ticked.
- "A bit of each, or not sure": nothing is ticked, and you pick your ways one by one.
Can I skip the story?
Yes. Skip takes you to the question, and "A bit of each, or not sure" sets nothing. If your answer does not save, you can still go on to your listing.
