How the seller response window works
Every order that lands in "Awaiting seller" carries a deadline: four hours to accept, counter, or cancel before it's taken out of your hands automatically.
Four hours, but only counted in your daytime
The clock starts when the order arrives. If four hours later falls between 8am and 9pm your store's local time, that's your deadline exactly. If it would land outside that window — an order placed late at night, for instance — the deadline rolls forward to 9am the next morning you're reachable in, rather than expiring while you're asleep.
If you've set quiet hours and the rolled deadline would land inside them, it moves again to whenever your quiet window lifts.
Two nudges before anything happens
You're warned twice before an order cancels itself: once 15 minutes in, and again at the two-hour mark. Each nudge is a notification naming the exact time the order will be cancelled if you don't confirm one.
What happens if the window closes
An order that's still unanswered when the deadline passes cancels itself. For a pickup order the buyer's card was never charged, so the hold is simply released rather than refunded. The buyer is told the seller didn't confirm a time and pointed elsewhere to shop; you're told the order was lost because it went unanswered.
