Setting a price and unit

Price and unit are set together: the unit decides what "per" means, and the price is always per one of that unit — one dozen, one pound, one bunch.

Prerequisites

Units come from a fixed, curated list — there's no free-text entry. If the unit you want isn't there, that's a request to add it, not something you can type around.

1. 1Open the Units field. Start typing and matching units filter as you go — things like lb, dozen, each, bunch, or bag.
2. 2Pick a unit from the list.
3. 3Open Price per Unit and enter a dollar amount. It has to be between $0.01 and $9,999.99.
4. 4Save.

What to expect

Once you enter a price, the field shows what you'll actually receive per unit after ezHomesteading's cut — that's the number to check against your own cost, not the price you typed.

Some units are weighed (like lb, kg, or oz) rather than counted; a listing sold by a weighed unit prices and sells by weight instead of a whole-number count.
