Deleting your account
Account deletion lives at the bottom of Personal Info (/account/personal), under a Danger Zone heading, as a Delete Account button.
Confirming
Tapping it opens a panel titled "Are you sure?" that reads: "This is irreversible — we cannot recover an account once it has been deleted." You have to type your exact display name into a field before Delete my Account becomes enabled — a stray tap cannot trigger it.
Orders block it
You cannot delete your account while you have orders in progress. The app tells you exactly how many: "You have N orders in progress. Complete or cancel them before deleting your account." Finish or cancel those first, then come back.
What deletion actually does
Your listings are archived, and your account row is anonymized rather than removed: your name is replaced with "Deleted user," your email, phone, and photo are cleared, and any seller role and Stripe payout state on the account are reset. A separate record keeps a hashed copy of your old email and phone for fraud checks — it does not store them in the clear, and it is not your account coming back.
Signing up again
Because deletion clears the email and phone on your old account rather than reserving them, that same email or phone number is free to sign up again afterward. Re-registering after deleting is expected, not a loophole.
